After I graduated from Armstrong HS, I didn't want to go to college so I got a year's worth of secretarial training. Do you guys remember back in the early 70's - girls either became nurses, teachers or secretaries! Hard to believe how much it's changed...but digress. (I finally got my Bachelor's degree when I was in my early 40's!)

After I got that secretarial diploma, I got a job at Mainline Travel in Minnetonka, which eventually became MLT Vacations. I became a travel agent and was promoted into various management positions. MLT transferred me to Des Moines to open an office for them. I ended up staying in Des Moines for nearly 10 years and then returned to the Twin Cities. I worked at MLT Vacations for 25 years and have spent a total of 30 years in the travel industry. I've been fortunate to have traveled the world! I am temporarily "retired" and enjoying life by not working in the corporate world, but hope to get back to work part-time in the near future.

In 1995, I married Greg Nelson, a dentist, and moved to Maple Grove. We've been loving Maple Grove for over 12 years now.

Greg and I enjoy our boat on Lake Minnetonka, traveling to our second home in Naples, Florida and visiting his parent's lake home on Lobster Lake near Alexandria, MN.

I am looking forward to seeing some old friends again- especially those good 10th grade friends from Cooper that I missed so much before we got split and sent to the new school - Armstrong. Hopefully someone will remember me too!
